The Year of the Solar Eclipse

“Aileen's play "The Year of the Solar Eclipse" is the feminocentric, sex-centered version of Rent.” - Austin Film Festival

When Angelina, Ivy and Elle gather to watch the solar eclipse, they have no idea how their lives are about to change. This dramedy follows three women on a year’s journey of navigating their evolving relationships, their sex lives and their shadow sides.

This full length-play premiered at the Planet Connections Theatre festival in 2018 and was nominated for outstanding production and won best set design.

Aileen remounted and revised the play for a run in 2019-2020 at the Off-Broadway theatre, The Wild Project.

More Quiet, More Noise

What starts off as an innocent and playful sexual encounter slowly reveals itself as an opportunity for our characters to face their demons and learn from each other.

Hotel Sonder

Aileen wrote two short plays for her New York City theatre debut. Dear Heart follows a chronic illness patient who anxiously awaits surgery with her best friend (and maybe lover) by her side. Hotel Sonder follows the reunion of two sisters who have a lot of baggage to unpack.
